Rumor Mill: 8GB iPhone 3GS to be replacing $99 3G?

The email that was sent to BGR from Rogers. 

According to an insider at Rogers Wireless in Canada, Apple is gearing up to replace the current 8GB iPhone 3G that was reduced to $99 earlier this summer with an 8GB 3GS.

There is no word yet on the price of the alleged new phone, but many are speculating that it may stay at $99.

If the new 8GB 3GS really is only $99, then I feel bad for all the people that went out and scooped up the 3G in the last couple months at the same price.
