Google just redesigned a new function for mobile Internet users to allow a more "refined" local search.
It utilizes your Google account to sync local preferences set either from your computer (click on the Local tab at www.google.com) or your mobile phone (www.google.com/m/local). Basically, you can bookmark local destinations before going or while you're on the road, and then log back in Google through your mobile phone.
It's a REAALLY great platform for planners (ahem), organized people (ahem) and obsessive-compulsives (slight ahem), or if you just have tons of errands to do on a limited time resource. (You can also click on the destination's link and get connected to Google Maps which is a great feature for navigationally-challenged people like me.)
I'm trying it later in case my friend wants to try a new restaurant around the Beaches area. Take a peek at the 2-minute, clear tutorial below!
