About Esther:

Esther Sanchez was born in 1976 in Kitchener, Ontario. Attending a high school where everyone sported the same mundane uniforms, her curiosity towards uniqueness and individuality began to grow. She moved to Toronto to attend Design School where her sense of style slowly began to flourish. She found herself creating colourful worlds of female characters and beautifully designed patterns in acrylic paintings. She was pleasantly surprised when many people began to buy her paintings and hire her for design and illustration work.

After ten years in Toronto, she followed her heart to New York City, where her eyes opened as wide as her characters. She was overwhelmed by the amazing architecture and inspired by the endless number of people with different styles and personalities.  While living there, she learned the art of photo retouching, kept up with her freelance design work and showed her artwork in small venues. Three hectic years later, she decided to follow her heart again and move back home to focus on her passion for design.

Her artwork is an expression of her ongoing experiences, which are constantly evolving. "Welcome life with wide eyes and your brightest colors"

Esther is currently designing a clothing and jewelry line and collaborating with iSkin on a line of fashionable laptop bags.

Her work has appeared in Time Out New York, The New York Post,  The Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Eye Magazine, Metro Toronto and Fashion Television.
